scytale commented in passing about how clingy these four are, which honestly is just a factual statement at this point, yet the universe immediately beamed a ficlet into my brain just based on that because this is what I am now.

Sighting a Siberian Superstar: Local birder secures rare red-flanked bluetail for life list

From long acquaintance with Tom, I know he doesn’t hesitate to go after these “rare birds.” This particular bird – a red-flanked bluetail – had been generating a lot of excitement, Tom noted, since making its unlikely appearance in Fairfax County, Virginia.

Two more little guys from K-9 are really capturing my imagination at the moment. Look at 'em:

You can't just show me two characters that comfortably handsy with each other and not expect me to go "Oh 👀"?! For anyone familiar with Wind Breaker, their vibes are massively similar to Togame and Chouji, especially early on. They're scratching my "murderous protectiveness" itch in just the right way.

Yuu, the blond chibi, can transform into a cute sort of hybrid leopard and loves to fight.

Meanwhile Satsuki can create and control huge branches. He may appear calmer and more reasonable, but that mostly means his expression won't change as he threatens to crush you between branches or tear your limbs apart. That kinda guy.

Obviously, I love them. For many reasons, too. But also aren't their abilities kind of ridiculous?! This is a world in which only criminals get a superpower, one related to the crime they committed!! What kind of crime do you commit that you can transform into a leopard?!

And thus, having thought about it way too much, I'm writing what will apparently become my first K-9 multi-chapter fic. With zero members of my beloved OT4 showing up XD This series is just ridiculous. I love it. The author is clearly having a ton of fun, and I love that for them.

Everyone needs contact comfort sometimes. Not everyone has ample opportunities for this in facetime. So here is a chance for a cuddle party in cyberspace. Virtual cuddling can help people feel better.

We have a cuddle room that comes with fort cushions, fort frames, sheets for draping, and a weighted blanket. A nest full of colorful egg pillows sits in one corner. There is a basket of grooming brushes, hairbrushes, and styling combs. A bin holds textured pillows. There is a big basket of craft supplies along with art markers, coloring pages, and blank paper. The kitchen has a popcorn machine. Labels are available to mark dietary needs, recipe ingredients, and level of spiciness. Here is the bathroom, open to everyone. There is a lawn tent and an outdoor hot tub. Bathers should post a sign for nude or clothed activity. Come snuggle up!

For some people, it’s a dream role! Beautiful dresses, jewels, a fairy-tale romance – what could be better? Other people might note that there can be a lot of work involved in the position, depending on the setting; contrary to popular opinion, there’s often a lot of responsibility, diplomatic or otherwise, wrapped up in being a potential heir to a throne. Some princesses might hate their role; others love it and would never want to do anything else; and some of them might have very mixed feelings on the topic.

Others aren’t literal royalty at all! Maybe the princess is just a role your character is playing, on a stage, in a movie, or as part of a disguise for some sort of plan. Maybe it’s just a fond nickname between friends, for someone who isn’t royalty but acts like it sometimes.

Write a story about a princess.

I have been experiencing nature up close and personal thanks to some frogs. At the end of November, following a rain storm, my Partner and I could hear a frog in our tiny, ornamental garden pond/water feature. We're always so thrilled when this happens!

The next morning when I walked past the pond I saw a pile of bubbles and thought that was cool. The male frog has been making a bubble nest, like a betta fish, pining for a female to come join him (spoiler: I don't know much about frogs).

The next day I went to clean the pond (a bi-weekly feat during summer) and noticed that only only had the bubbles persisted, but some of them had developed little black dots. Oh my god, they're not bubbles they're eggs!

Author's note: Not long ago I thought about how if femslash got more attention, this pairing (and other amazon/amazon ships) would definitely get more action LOL.

I also love the version of Donna's origin where she starts out as Diana's doppelganger, coming to life through a spell and a mirror (then later on kidnapped and put under a curse by a sorceress that got them mixed up and condemned Donna to live through endless lives of torment, as one does: Comics). The prompt made me think of them, and about recent thoughts about Diana growing up and going through puberty in an island where she was surrounded by caretakers that were also incredible women. All of that goes into these 100 words xD
